Pink Nail Art

Howdy my dear readers and fellow Nail Art enthusiasts!  I have a pink nail art mani to share with you today that used several different products/techniques.

Left hand

Ok, let's start off with the basics first ...the pink base color is Zoya Kirtridge and the accent nail is Fresh Paint Arrowhead.

Right hand

Now on to the nail art side of things, get ready for a wall of text!  The index finger is done with gold striping tape (bought off Amazon), the middle is stamping done with Sinful Colors Black on Black nail polish and stamping plate # QA96 (bought from Born Pretty Store).  The texture on the ring finger (accent nail) is crushed shell (also from Born Pretty) and last but not least is the pinky which is a sticker from a sheet of nail art stickers (bought at Five Below locally).  My right hand is the same expect for the gold foil on the index and I used purple crushed shells on the accent nail (ring finger).

As usual, I topped everything with a top coat of Seche Vite. That stuff saves me so much time with how quick it dries!

Whew, these took a lot of work and overall I think they turned out to be quite busy but I really like them!

I especially love this faux gold foil and I seem to keep re-using it in mani's.  It just looks so good with any color I have to stop myself from using it in EVERY mani I do!

Thanks for looking and please share it if you like it!

It's A Boy! - Celebrating being an Aunt!

Hello my dear readers!  Today I bring tidings of Snips and Snails, and Puppy Dogs Tails!  I'm going to be an Aunt!

My brother is having a boy and is due in April!  I'm so excited for him and his wife, this is their first kid and he's so nervous, which is super cute and sweet!  I know he'll do just fine!

I used two different blues (Sally Hansen Insta-dri Blue Away topped with NYC Skyline Blue) for the base color then used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Bundle Monster plates to stamp on some baby shower images.  (The plates are BM-H21, BM-H20 and the teddy bear is actually from Pueen plate #24.)

Pre-acrylic paint

I then used acrylic paints to add color to the stamps using a super fine brush and sealed it all with a top coat of Seche Vite.

The accent nail is Zoya Pixie Dust named Sunshine with a 3d metal bow charm affixed with nail glue.

I love love love how these turned out and can't wait to see what my nephew will look like!  I'm so stoked to be the fun Aunt, I think drums should be one of the 1st few gifts he'll get!  Leave me a comment if you have any other great fun gifts I should plan on getting!

Thanks for looking and please share!

Layering Glitter - It's Super Easy!!!

Hello my fellow nail art lovers, today I'm sharing with you a simple glitter mani I did.  It was super easy to do and I just could not take my eyes off them. Something about the color combo I find really appealing!

I used Sinful Colors Unicorn for the yellow and Sinful Colors Sapphired Up for the glitter.

I did a coat of yellow, then a coat of glitter, then a coat of yellow, then a coat of glitter, then a final coat of yellow, then a top coat of Seche Vite.

They were thick nails by the end and took a lot of soaking in acetone to get all the glitter off but it was totally worth it!  So what do you think, cute color combo?  Let me know in the comments below and share it if you like it!

3d Butterfly Nail Art

Hello my fellow nail art enthusiasts! Today I'm sharing with you my 3d butterfly mani.  The butterfly is sculpted from polymer clay and affixed with a clear coat of nail polish.  I wish I could take credit for making them but I got them at one of my local nail supply shops.

I created the gradient using a make up sponge and the following colors:
Sally Hansen Charteuse Chase
Sinful Colors Exotic Green
Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth
KleanColor Lavenbaby

I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the dots and acrylic paint for the grass.  I did end up with horrible bubbling once I put my top coat on, which is completely my fault for not allowing it proper dry time before applying my top coat.

That bubbling just ruins this otherwise super cute mani...grrrr
Well, I guess lesson learned, be more patient!
I do have more non bubbling mani's to share so check back soon!
