Dipped in Merlot Nails - or - Sponged Gradient Nail Art

Hello my fellow lacquer addicts!  I'm sharing with you today a mani I did right after I moved this past April.  My nails were stubs since packing boxes with a quickness isn't conducive to long nails.  I couldn't think what to name these and my love came up with Dipped in Merlot which is perfect for how these look!

I of course started with a base coat then sponged on the colors using a makeup sponge.  The white is Sinful Colors Snow Me White, the black is Sinful Colors Black on Black and the pink is CND Smoochie.

I have been touring schools in my new state and the CND polish was a gift from one of the schools I toured!  I actually was most impressed with them, and not just for the free polish, but that they use articulating hands for practice (not wooden dowl rods which is standard for lower budget schools). They do have a higher tuition cost but I'm impressed with their knowledge and equipment and think I have found the school I want to attend, now I just need the tuition costs and I'm golden!

I did top coat them with Seche Vite.  I really should just buy stock in that company with how much I use their products!

I love how these turned out, what do you think?  Leave me a comment below and share it if you like it!
