Blood Splatter Nails

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing with you one of my favorite mani's for Halloween, blood splatter!!!

I have been doing this mani every year for the past 3 years and I still love it!  It's simple, bloody, and all around the perfect Halloween mani!

I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the base color then used Fresh Paint Burning Flame for the blood splatter then sealed it all with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Every time I do this mani for Halloween I think of Dexter!

So what is your go to Halloween mani?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

Sinful Colors Halloween Stickers

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing with you the Sinful Colors Halloween Stickers I found at Walgreens.

They didn't apply as smoothly as I would have liked but man do they glow!!!

I put them on top of Sinful Colors Black on Black and sealed it all with a top coat of Seche Vite.  These are a super cute and quick way to get nail art on your tips!

Above is the package they came in minus the ones used on my nails.  For $1.99 they are a steal! Thanks for looking and check back soon for more spooky nails!

Halloween Nail Art Month Continues!!!

Hello my dear readers and fellow nail art addicts!  Today I'm sharing with you another simple Halloween themed mani.

I did two coats of Sinful Colors Anchors Away (orange) then did the splatter with Sally Hansen Purple Craze.

When you are pressed for time sometimes a familiar, quick, and easy technique is the way to go, and splatter designs are exactly that...at least for me!  All you need are two colors (or more if you like) and a straw!

To do the splatter you just drop some polish onto an old lid/a piece of foil/an artist palette/whatever you have handy that you don't care you are going to get polish on....which for me is pretty much everything I own...anyways...then you dip one end of a straw in the polish and blow through the other.  Make sure your nails are under the straw before you blow, also, quick, sharp bursts of air seem to give the best splatter effect!

I did seal it all with my usual top coat of Seche Vite and if anyone is curious the rings came from the dollar store!

Bats!!!  'cause Bats are AWESOME!!!

Skull and Crossbones Nail Art

Hello my fellow nail art and Halloween enthusiasts!  I have a glow in the dark mani to share with you today!

Sinful Colors Skele-bration does glow quite a bit in the dark!  (⊙.☉)

I started out with a base color of Sinful Colors Snow Me White then painted on orange tips using L'Oreal l'orange.  I then used Sinful Colors Skele-bration.  I did have to do some fishing to get the skull and crossbone glitter pieces on and the polish is a thicker, darker green than expected but it does glow!

So what are your favorite glow in the dark polish brands?  Let me know in the comments below and thanks for stopping by!

The Bride of Frankenstein

Hello everyone!  My last mani was Frankenstein so my Love suggested I do Frankenstein's Bride next!  I loved the idea and ran with it!

I used a frankened (which seems oh so appropriate, lol) grey polish for the base color, which I made by mixing Sinful Colors Black on Black and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.  I then used acrylic paints to paint on the bandages and the design in her hair using a striping brush.

It's a simple mani but I like it!  It is of course sealed with a top coat of Seche Vite.

So which one do you like better, Frankenstein or his Bride?

Let me know in the comments below and thanks for stopping by!

Frankenstein Nails

Hello everyone!  I'm still going strong with Halloween nails!  Today I have Frankenstein nails to share with you!  These are super easy to do and still look great!

I missed a post last Friday due to a crazy busy week but I am still determined to do as many Halloween nails as I can cram into this month!  For this mani I used Sinful Colors Beau Khaki and Sinful Colors Black on Black.

I did one thick coat of Beau Khaki then hand painted the stitches using a striping brush.  Then I sealed it all with a top coat of Seche Vite.  Check back soon for more Halloween Fun and please remember to share it if you like it!

Skeletons on my Tips!

Hello everyone!  I have a fun yet simple mani to share with you today.  It's still a Halloween mani but much less in your face than most of the designs I tend to do!

I started out by doing a basic french manicure with Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the tips and a no name french pink that I've had for ages.  I sealed it with a top coat of Seche Vite then used Sinful Colors Black on Black to do the stamping then sealed it again with a final coat of Seche Vite.

The image plates used are from the Bundle Monster. BM-H07 for the cobwebs and BM-413 for the skeleton.

I love the look of the french tip, especially the classic pink and white, so adding in some subtle stamping makes this one of my favorite mani's so far!

I bought all the Halloween rings at the dollar store and it's making me nostalgic over my childhood years.  I remember how much I loved getting "toys" when I trick or treated, the bats and rats were always my fav!  What's yours?

Thanks for stopping by and please remember to share it if you like it!

Ghosts!!!!

Hello everyone!  Today I have some spooky ghosts to share with you!  Okay...so they are more silly than spooky but I love them!

This is a super simple design to do, especially using a dotting tool! The colors used are Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Sinful Colors Black on Black.

I also used Sinful Colors Glow in the dark on top of the white before I applied the black eyes and mouths but I completely forgot to get a glow in the dark pic!

I'm sure I will do another glow in the dark mani before October is over so I will just have to share it then but there is a pretty decent bit of glow from Sinful Colors Glow in the Dark!

I'm getting more and more excited for Halloween, how about you?  Thanks for looking and check back soon for my next Halloween Mani!

Tombstone Nail Art

Hello everyone!  Today I have some tombstone nails to share!  I used a frankened dark gray polish, then Wet 'n Wilds matte top coat, then black acrylic paint to hand paint the lettering and crosses.

I tried to add texture to it by dabbing a sponge on it before it all dried and by using a stiff brush to stipple it but it kept leveling back out...go figure...the one time I need it to wrinkle and not self level is the one time it behaves like nail polish should!

I think the Wet 'n Wild isn't really a matte but more of a satin finish but I'm out of all my other matte top coats so I had to make do.  It turned out all right...maybe...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's definitely a Halloween mani...and that's about it, lol!  Sometimes you don't always knock it out of the park but I love sharing my attempts regardless of how they turn out, especially since it will give me something to look back on in later years and see how much I've improved!  Thanks for looking and check back soon for my next spooky mani!

Bats, Bats and more Bats!

Happy October everyone!  Today I'm sharing with you my 2nd Halloween mani of the season and it's all about the bats!

I started out with 3 coats of Sinful Colors Cloud 9 then used Sinful Colors Black on Black to stamp the bats from the Cheeky Happy Holiday Jumbo Plate # 6.

I of course sealed it all with a top coat of Seche Vite.  The wrinkles are actually my fault since I kept bumping my nails into stuff versus any shrinkage problems.  Seche is know to do this when you have too many or really thick coats of polish but this time it's my fault.  I have trouble sitting still sometimes... ⌒°(❛ᴗ❛)°⌒

I'm totally digging this holiday season and it's off to a fantastic nail art start!  I hope you enjoyed this and check back soon for more Halloween fun!
